Between the Worlds: A Spiritual Encounter at Kaena Point, Hawaii

Blessings,

When I returned from my trip to Japan, I arranged my flight to make a stop at Oahu, Hawaii.

And then something incredible happened…

Through synchronicity, I found myself hiking into a very sacred place known as the “Soul Leap Place.”

Hawaiian ancestral wisdom holds that when a person dies, their soul travels to a specific point on the edge of the island, where it begins its journey to the spirit world.

Here I found myself.

It is called Kaena Point, located at the westernmost point of Oahu.

Hike to the lava rock tidal pools at the edge of this point on the island.

The veil between worlds felt like it didn't exist.

a place between…

Neither in the sea nor on land…

You are in between the energies of the sea and the land, and in a sense neither, standing on what is essentially a rock solidified by fire, or a pile of dry coral…

The intersection of these elements creates a powerful energy vortex where the boundaries between the physical and spiritual realms are blurred.

When I was there there were also very strong offshore winds and energy was flowing out to sea.

It really felt like when my soul left my body there, I was automatically drawn into the realm of light.

Before hiking, I didn’t know that many Hawaiians have long considered this one of their most sacred places…

This is because of its importance in the soul's journey and as the place where the soul makes the leap from its incarnations in the physical world to the realm of spirit.

As I stood there, I felt the presence of ancestral guides waiting to welcome newly departed souls.

According to Hawaiian tradition, when a soul reaches this point, it is said to be met by the souls of deceased ancestors and friends…

If the soul is ready to leave this incarnation, then who… guide the soul to accept the journey to the next stage of existence.

Standing on the edge of the world, I felt a deep connection to the ancient wisdom of the islanders and the countless souls who have made this sacred journey.

The energy at Kaena Point seemed to be whispering about the eternal nature of the soul, reunion with loved ones who have passed away after death, and the continuity of existence beyond our physical bodies.

It was a powerful reminder that death is not an end, but a transition, a leap into a new realm of existence.

As the offshore wind continued to blow toward the vast ocean, I felt a deep sense of peace and was reminded of the eternal nature of the soul.

This sacred place truly embodies the Hawaiian concept of death: the journey westward, a journey we all take at some point.

A beautiful reminder of the eternal dance between life and death, form and formlessness.

And I'm very in sync with where I am right now…
