About the Panelists

Father Alan Figueroa Deck received his PhD in Theology from Gregorian University and his PhD in Latin American Studies from Saint Louis University. He is currently a Distinguished Scholar in Pastoral Theology and Latin American Studies at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He is the author or editor of nine books, including 365 días acompañados por los santos.

Marina Burgins-McCoy is a professor of philosophy at Boston University, a participant in the BC PULSE service-learning program, and the author of The Ignatian Guide to Forgiveness. She and her husband are the parents of two young adults and live in the Boston area.

Paul Mitchell writes for the education of lay people while raising his young sons. He has taught in Uganda, Chicago, Boston, and Egypt, and studied theology at the University of Notre Dame and the Boston College School of Theology and Pastoral Ministry. His books include Audacious Ignatius and The Examen Book.

Tim Muldoon is the author of numerous books, including The Ignatian Workout and Living Against the Grain, and teaches in the Philosophy Department at Boston University.
